We met John Griffiths and the crew of JG Hardwoods at an open house they hosted for Lowcountry Local First. John is an expert craftsman and passionate about his trade and we were thrilled to get the call to help polish up his logo and complete some lettering for his latest fleet acquisition and new West Ashley showroom.

If you are not ready to tackle a flooring or counter-top project or maybe you are looking for a completely recycled, sustainable, and locally produced gift, check out their stunning wood block cutting boards at http://www.billsboards.net/

Attn: Mt. Pleasant dog lovers…

Mary and Cary Zapatka, owners of the wonderful Square Onion in I’on, recently purchased Planet Bark, a doggie day care and boarding facility on Johnnie Dodds Blvd (more or less behind Mt. Pleasant Post Office and “If It’s Paper”).

Mary, who has been active with several lab rescue organizations in the Lowcountry, also has three beautiful and loving lab puppies available for responsible adoption. (Impromptu Christmas gift givers need not apply).

So stop to fall in love with a new puppy and another great locally owned business!
