Louie’s Kids, 2008 Yogathon picture boards
Limelight Custom Sign Co. was thrilled to participate in the 2008 Yogathon to benefit Louie’s Kids and the fight against childhood obesity.
“LOUIE’S KIDS is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization that raises funds to help treat childhood obesity, which afflicts 25 million American children today. Louie’s Kids works to find the best treatment options to meet the needs of each child. We find the fix that fits, one kid at a time.
Founded in 2001 in Alexandria, Virginia and operated today out of Charleston, South Carolina, Louie’s Kids serves economically disadvantaged kids nationwide.”
For the outdoor event, Limelight constructed 4 picture boards measuring 24″ x 38″. We then laminated the large format prints in a matte finish to eliminate glare from the sun or overhead lighting. We mounted the prints to a durable, indoor/outdoor PVC and installed brass grommets in the corners. The color was brilliant and the durable finish should allow Louis to use the media for several future events.
The weather did not stop the devoted yogis from completing up to 108 Sun Salutations, with sponsors donating money for each Sun Salutation or minute of yoga completed.
