King Street Kitchen Company, window lettering
Among the chaos of a Hollywood movie set and the final countdown to the 6 o’clock grand opening of King Street Kitchen, LIMELIGHT CUSTOM SIGN COMPANY was running around doing its thing.
I wish I could have taken pictures of the scene as I arrived Thursday morning. I am not sure who was more tense, the Hollywood production assistants trying to control the morning pedestrian traffic or the team at King Street Kitchen Company, trying to produce an eleventh hour miracle.
Just a week prior, I went to go meet with Dylan Gilliam, Design Principal for KSKC, and to measure the windows. I found one small problem, no windows! I jokingly asked when the Grand Opening was and my jaw dropped to the floor when they said to come back in a week to install the window lettering. And now, on the morning of the Grand Opening, they are hanging cabinets and fixtures, installing appliances and painting doors and windows.
It was a true testament to the will and professionalism of the King Street Kitchen Company team. It was all business. I wanted to run back to the car, grab my hand tools and sign up! They were getting it done and the attention to detail, even as the clocked ticked closer, was truly inspiring.
The logo was designed by Ashley Finnemore of Finnemore and Co.. It is always a treat for us to work with good artwork and continually stress to our clients to budget for and utilize Charleston’s diverse and incredibly talented design community.
Please stop by and introduce your self to Dylan, Steve and the rest of the team and welcome the newest resident of the Upper King Street Design District.
